Yes, and it isn't a hobbled one. The full checklist across all six time blocks, streaks and grace days, prayer times with every calculation method, all cycle tracking including exemptions and streak protection, Ayah & Hadith of the Day, and iCloud sync all stay free. A subscription adds custom habits, an unlimited journal, cycle prediction, and your full history.

Never. It lives in a local-only store that isn't synced to iCloud or to any server of ours. That's not a promise we're asking you to trust, it's how the app is built, and it would take real work to undo. If you turn HealthKit on, that connection is one-way and stays under Apple's own privacy rules.

Every subscription starts with a free trial, and you'll see exactly how long it runs and exactly what day you'd be charged before you begin. We'll also remind you before it ends. No surprise renewals, ever.

No. The cycle-aware part gets talked about most because almost nothing else handles it properly, but the app is built for anyone practising. Travel-aware handling, Muraqabah, the Today screen, adhkar, and Journey work the same whoever you are.

They're calculated on your own device from your location, with every standard calculation method available, so nothing is requested from a server and nothing is sent to one. The six Today blocks are anchored to those times.

Yes. It's built natively in Swift and SwiftUI rather than a web page wrapped in an app icon, so your checklist, prayer times, and adhkar all work with no connection at all. iCloud sync catches up once you're back online.

Yes, and it ships with version 1. Prayer times and the complications are free. Marking a habit done from your wrist, the follow-up asking whether you prayed in congregation, and the Digital Crown tasbih come with a subscription.

Yes. Your current and next prayer show on the car screen with a countdown, kept to a glance rather than a sentence. Siri can also tell you when a prayer is, or mark one done by name, without you reaching for anything. The CarPlay dashboard is a subscription feature.

Yes, and it ships at launch. It is a menu bar companion for the next prayer plus a proper window for journalling, adhkar, and editing habits, the desk work a keyboard does better. It runs standalone, so it can be your only device, and one subscription covers your phone and your Mac together. Cycle tracking is deliberately not on the Mac: that data never leaves your phone, so the Mac cannot know you were exempt, and we would rather leave the feature out than show you a month of misses you never earned.

No, and we'd rather it didn't. BarakaLine tells you which position it's following and where that position comes from (see Sources & Positions), then leaves the decision with you. It's a tool for your practice, not an authority over it.

English, Indonesian, and Malay, both in the app and here on the site. Simplified Chinese (简体中文) is in planning, though we won't put a date on it until it's close.

Not yet. Version 1 covers iPhone, Apple Watch, CarPlay, and the Mac, which is to say the Apple platforms. We're not going to promise Android, but we're not ruling it out either.
