This is a draft, pending legal review before BarakaLine's public launch. It covers use of this website only. The app will carry its own terms, and the App Store's terms apply to anything you buy there.
What this site is
This website is informational. It describes BarakaLine, an app for iPhone, Apple Watch, CarPlay, and Mac that has not been released yet, and it lets you join a waitlist to hear about the launch. Reading it creates no account, no purchase, and no obligation on either side.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist means we will email you about the launch. It does not reserve a place, a price, or a copy of anything, and it is not a contract to supply the app. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Nothing here is an offer
The app is still in development, so what this site describes is what we intend to ship, not a guarantee. Features may change or be dropped before launch. The prices and trial lengths shown on the Pricing page are illustrative examples, clearly labelled as such, and are not an offer to sell at those terms; the real price and trial will be shown to you before you ever start one, in the App Store. We also do not commit to a launch date, because we do not have one.
No fiqh authority
Nothing on this site or in the app is a religious ruling. Where the app acts on a fiqh position it names that position and its source on the Sources & Positions page, and some of those entries are still marked as awaiting review and may change. The app is a tool for your practice, not an authority over it. For your own situation, ask a qualified scholar.
Using the site fairly
Please use the site as intended: read it, and join the waitlist if you want to. Do not submit other people's email addresses, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site, or scrape it in bulk. We may block access that does any of these.
Content and ownership
The text, design, icons, and other material on this site belong to BarakaLine unless stated otherwise, and are not licensed for reuse. Quranic verses and hadith quoted here are of course not ours; our translations and the way the material is arranged are.
Availability and accuracy
We try to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise either. It may be unavailable, and it may be out of date while the app changes underneath it, which is why the draft notices on these pages exist. Use it as a description of intent rather than a specification.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this website, or from relying on descriptions of an app that has not shipped yet. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
These terms may change before public launch as the site and the app develop. The version published at this URL is the one that applies. If a change materially affects the waitlist, we will say so in an email rather than only editing this page.
Governing law
The governing law and venue for these terms will be stated here before public launch, alongside the legal entity behind BarakaLine.
